Gritty Men Alpine Ultra and ATV Event

Calling all GRITTY MEN!

When: July 2026

• Departing from TCC on Sunday, July 12th following the service
• Returning the evening of Sunday, July 19th
• Once we have closed registration, we will schedule a meeting to answer questions and discuss travel and details. 

What: Hike and camp along the Alpine Loop in CO

• We will drive in Sunday and arrive Monday morning to hit the trail starting in Lake City! 
• This is a trail that is navigable by ATV and Jeep. We welcome anyone who wants to ride or hike to join us.
• The hike will take approximately 5-6 days, and we will be covering 12-15 miles each day. There will be sections of this trail where we will not be near a town for as many as 2-3 days.
• We will be at elevations as high as 12,800 ft and even though it's July it will be COLD at times and even overnight. PLEASE PACK APPROPRIATELY.
• Cell service will be spotty at best! There will be a contact list provided so daily updates from John can go out to any family members to keep them up to date on the trip! There will be a satellite phone available for emergencies only!  
• In the evenings we will decide a location to stop and set up camp. We will enjoy whatever foods we have brought and fellowship. PLEASE remember to check the COLORADO PARKS guide for fire bans before determining the types of food you will pack. Also, consider trash…You pack it in, you pack it out.

This is a trip for men. You will receive a confirmation email once you have registered. There will be further communication and meetings between now and then, so be sure to check your email and FB for these dates and times.
